The D/Bay external modular from Dell acts as a sleeve that houses a removable storage module as an external device. It is fully supported across the Latitude D-Family line of products via a powered USB 2.0 port and on all D-Family docking solutions (D/Port and D/Dock). The Dell Latitude D800, D810, D400, D410, D420, X300, X1, D/Port Advanced Port Replicator (D/Port) and D/Dock Expansion Station (D/Dock) include an integrated D/Bay connector (powered USB 2.0 connection) for connecting storage devices to the notebook via Dell's D/Bay External Modular Bay. The connector allows the user to connect an additional hard drive, optical drive or floppy drive to the notebook.
